Ken "Kenny B" Burkhart is an accomplished musician who, along with brother and fellow Blacklite Team member Steve Burkhart, has won 3 Grand Prizes and 4 First-Place awards in Billboard and Music City national song competitions. His achievements also include Top-5 rankings in various other songwriting competitions, song placement on nationally-syndicated television shows, cuts on a multitude of music albums, and publishing deals for over 40 songs in his catalog. In nearly 50 years of musical experience Ken has performed original music in dozens of successful bands and studios across the nation. Ken’s former band “Cadillac Jack” finished 2nd place in a nation-wide battle of the bands judged by famous country group Alabama, and he has recorded in Nashville under a writing and production contract for the legendary Beau Dollar and Russ Miller. In addition, Ken’s song “Sacrifice” was used by the military’s Yellow Ribbon Committee in honor of a local fallen soldier, and one of his songs was a featured cut on the first album by Hank Williams Jr.'s band "Copperhead." Ken currently shares his decades of musical experience with Blacklite Productions through his virtuoso guitar/vocal skills and songwriting expertise. He continues to play in live bands with family and friends in addition to writing and recording music as a session musician with the Blacklite Team.
